I've been hinting at it in conversations. I've been on Voyager before. Granted, it was during a time of strife, and I almost didn't survive, but I've been on Voyager. Everytime someone asks me how I'm adjusting to life on Voyager, I always tell them it's just like being at home again. Voyager has this strange homey feeling to her. Maybe it's because of her journey through the Delta Quadrant, or how the crew act in general on Voyager - like we're family.
I had a rocky start - I said something I shouldn't, got into a fight with Shara, and then said something I shouldn't have again. I'm surprised the Temporal Police haven't come and arrested me for violating the Temporal Prime Directive. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a file in their archives.
Anyway, I put myself to work upgrading what Voyager has. Slowly, that is. I can't introduce things like transphasic torpedoes without affecting the timeline - heck, if Voyager started using those the Borg would almost be unstoppable. I wanted to introduce the prototype TR-116 technology, but I have to get approval of Lt. Cmdr Tuvok and Captain Janeway - it's dangerous in the wrong hands, as the incident on DS9 proved to be. Strange how the Borg never developed defenses for projectile weapons or melee weapons. Making a kinetic shield wouldn't be too hard with their technology. And I took One's death pretty hard - it reminded me of the losses during 2381. Young people getting killed senselessly. I sometimes wonder how it feels like to tell your crew that you're about to slam your ship into a Borg cube to destroy it.
I've been trying to build the old interface I used on the Enterprise E - the 3D one where I could scribble on holographic displays - but the technology difference between her and Voyager prevents me from doing so. Also I figured it would be a huge drain on resources. I instead made a large PADD with a stylus - it's not too bad. I'm writing this log using it - I wasn't much for dictating out loud anyway. It's a habit I can't break - I always made notes on historical items using that system on the Enterprise-E and turned to using it to write my logs, much to the chagrin of the rest of the senior staff. Hey, at least I'm not chewing on chocolate bars during senior staff meetings, Lieutenant Ku!
I do miss the way I could manipulate information, moving things around with my stylus. Now I have to remember how to use this LCARS interface. It's coming back quickly.
